Seating is at a premium in our house with 8 people! I wanted to find a piece of furniture that fit in nicely with our decor, but also was useful for seating several people. Zuo had the perfect piece for us. A classic of Mid-Century Modernism, they Heywood bench is beautiful yet utilitarian. Made of a natural wood top and steel base.
We got the box via UPS, and were excited to assembly our Heywood bench with natural wood top. I wanted to wait for hubby to help in case it was harder to assembly. No need, it went together super easy. The only concern when we opened the box is that the screws were not contained in a bag or confined in the box. This would have been a huge problem if one had fallen out during transport. Fortunately for us, they were all there.
The bench was the full length of my couch and could easily rest along the back of it. It only required little assembly and we were in action. I was concerned it wouldn't hold the weight with such small brackets on the base, but we have had no problem with it at all.
It even came with the tool needed to assemble to screws into place.
