99 Stories from the Bible by Juliet David *Review

By Juliet  Davide
Illustrated by Elina Ellis

This beautifully illustrated book begins in the beginning with God creating the heaven and earth. It tells the story of Adam and Eve and their sin and need to leave the garden. It shows them toiling to work the ground. It then skips to Noah's Ark. It hits some key characters like Abraham and Sarah, Issac and Rebecca, Moses, Gideon, Sampson, Ruth and many more. The book is divided into Old and New Testaments. The New Testament begins with an angel coming to Mary, and her and Joseph leaving for Bethlehem. It shares many of the miracles of Jesus, his crucifixion and Resurrection. I appreciate that it doesn't end there, but goes on to have Jesus come and appear to his disciples and rise up to heaven.

The illustrations are dynamic and fun. Each person in the story has this adorable large, cartoon like nose. An aspect that sets this illustrator apart.
The 99 Stories from the Bible touch on many of the great stories that we want our children to learn and remember to store in their young hearts and minds.
This is a great gift idea for Easter, or even for a 1st birthday. Be sure to check it out on Amazon!
