Rainbow Layered Jello Recipe

 It is our tradition every major holiday to make Rainbow Layered Jello. It really is quite easy, but a time consuming challenge that needs to be started the day prior.

What you need:
*6 packages of Gelatin 3 oz
You will need to choose by color
Red- Cherry, Strawberry, Cranberry
Orange- Orange, Peach
Yellow- Lemon
Green- Lime
Blue- Berry Blue
Purple- Grape

*Sour Cream
*Bowling Water
9 by 13 pan

Start by boiling water, you will need 1.5 cups to get started.

Pour the  gelatin into a glass bowl. Go reverse order of the rainbow as you work.

 Add 1.5 cups of water to the glass bowl. Mix completely

Poor 1/2 of the hot gelatin into a 9 by 13 Pyrex dish.  

Set the Pyrex dish in the fridge for 30 mins or until set. Meanwhile mix remaining purple gelatin with 1/4 cup of sour cream. Mix thoroughly. Let rest until refrigerated gelatin is ready. Slowly pour sour cream/ gelatin mix on purple gelatin layer. Put in fridge for approx 30 mins or until the layer is set

 Repeat with gelatin in rainbow descending order.

Kids delved into it before I got a picture! Love the look and flavor of this awesome dessert, surely a labor of love.
