EDUTECH Launches a new Line of Touch Toys That Drive Child Development Through Play
EDUTECH Goes Back to the Basics with Educational, Hands-On Learning.

Toronto, September, 3 2013 –In a tech-saturated world, parents are continually faced with the challenge of finding tech-friendly educational toys that spark creativity and nurture child development. In order to fuel both sides of the brain, veteran toy designer and father of two Gene Khasminsky created EDUTECH (www.edutechkids.com) a line of toy vehicles targeting boys age 3+.
The line of toy vehicles was designed to teach kids about the ins and outs of cars, trucks and helicopters. When the coded buttons are pressed, the vehicles come to life with real lights and sounds. Each vehicle includes an interactive storybook that allows parents and children to read and play together.
EDUTECH launched in 2012 and quickly became a must-have toy for parents and kids as retailers across North America began selling out of product as fast as they could replenish it. Kids desire and curious minds to understand how mighty machines work proved to be a massive opportunity as the line sold well above expectation and caught the attention of major retailers for this fall.
All the excitement by children and parents has propelled EDUTECH to expand from three to five vehicles for 2013. Young boys dream of becoming motorists or astronauts and the 2013 line is making that dream closer with the introduction of The Throttle Motorcycle and the Journey Space Shuttle. The Shuttle comes with a removable satellite and real working robotic arm.
“Parents are looking for alternatives to digital screens for children to learn, play and socialize,” explains Laurie Schacht, Toy Insider Mom. “The EDUTECH line delivers social interaction in a technologically advanced way, while also building on kids’ literacy skills. Children love the combination of story-telling, movements, lights and sounds— and they don't even realize they are learning.”
Recommended for children 3+, EDUTECH ranges in price from $19.99 - $49.99 and will be available at Target and specialty retailers now throughout the holiday season.
