Winter in Full Bloom by Anita Higman *Review

About Winter in Full Bloom: Lily Winter's wings are folded so tightly around her daughter that when empty nest arrives, she feels she can no longer fly. But Lily's lonely, widowed life changes in a heartbeat when she goes to visit a woman who is almost a stranger to her---a woman who also happens to be her mother. During their fiery reunion, her mother reveals a dark family secret that she'd been hiding for decades---Lily has an identical twin sister who was put up for adoption when they were just babies.

Without looking back, Lily---with her fear of flying---boards a jumbo jet and embarks on a quest to find her sister which leads half way around the world to Melbourne, Australia. Befriended by imprudent Ausie, he might prove to be the key to finding her sister. But her journey becomes a circle that leads her back home to attempt a family reunion and to find the one dream she no longer imagined possible-the chance to fall in love again
My Thoughts:

Such an inspiring love story.. not just of a couple, but of pure family bonds. I couldn't put the book down, Anita captured my attention from early on as she is traveling on the plane, telling a little girl why she is flying to Australia. She had set her fears aside and was motivated by a love she hadn't known, a love to find her identical twin sister whom she had only recently learned of. Love can surely drive us. As she looks for her sister she meets Marcus who is a bit quirky, but there is something about him that strikes her, plus he knows his way around and offers to help find her sister Camille. Watching the love blossom between Marcus and Lily is so beautifully portrayed. So innocent and pure. They take time to put each others need first, to work on their own personal family issues and past hurts to come to a new love cleansed. Absolutely beautiful book! Lily's last name is Winter, so the title is very relevant as we watch Lily blossom!
