Chats on the Farmhouse Porch #88

Everyday Ruralty

It has been GORGEOUS in KY this week! I have been too busy to even stop and chat with you, behind by a day on our chat. Pull up a chair on the porch and let's see what questions we have today!

1.Are you enjoying spring?

Loving it! I could not believe someone had snow just the other day. We are at 75 degrees and the Dogwoods are blooming and it is just gorgeous. I will get some photos to share next week of Spring in KY!

2.Where would you take Patrice for her birthday, if you could spend a day together. Wendell hopes you would bring her back!

Wendell is Patrices horse if you didn't know, he often asks some of the questions and contributes to her blog :) I have been hungry for Olive Garden lately, and it is a bit of a drive. I think Patrice would deserve that and I would love to dine there!

3.What's your favorite spring flower?
I love Forsynthia bushes, they are typically one of the first spring blooms and it gets my mind in gear that spring has actually arrived!

4.What do you do when you are going through a really stressful time?
I sleep more!  Sleep helps me to be rested and have a better perspective on the stress

5.What kind of birthday cake would you get for Patrice? And Wendell?
I think Wendell would need a fruit cake! Patrice would need an ice cream blizzard cake, since I love those!!

See you next week and hope to have beautiful country photos to share!

  1. oh, i love Olive Garden. good pick. oh, i can't wait for our dogwoods to bloom. so fun!! happy spring to you. take care. ( :

  2. I love Olive Garden, too. They have the best salads of any restaurant around!

Dogwoods don't bloom down here. They were the signal of spring back home in South Carolina. I haven't seen one in person in almost 9 years. :(

I enjoyed your post. Have a great week!

  3. Suzanne I will post lots of pictures next week for you to see one at least in photos!

  4. We have had a lot of warm weather already. the spring flowers are blooming their hearts out, lilacs, dogwood, wisteria, & California poppies.

  5. You got me with ice cream blizzard cake- now I'm hungry! It IS hard to think of anyone getting snow right now. We had 90 degrees yesterday. We went from 40/50 to 80/90 degrees in just days. I like it when all of the seasons have a chance. It is beginning to be colorful out there. Wendell likes the green. Have a great week!
