Six sisters, no brothers.. living in Kentucky now I feel this is quite appropriate to say to their Mama and Daddy.. "Bless your heart!" I can say that, I have 6 children. What a beautiful sibling group, these gals are not only beautiful on the outside, they seem so down to earth and friendly just from the insights in this darling book! They know what kinds of foods we have on hand, and the recipes are ones you will utilize for years to come. I have loved looking over the recipes and deciding what I plan on cooking first. I haven't had a chance as of this post but have my list for shopping to try to do this weekend and will do another post with photos..
I would guess there will be something chocolate related in the selection!
Six Sister's Stuff authors are passionate about setting aside time for Family dinners. We used to have time for seven out of seven family dinners, at the table. As the kids got older I have found we are blessed to get three or four a week. I love this concept so much though that I am determined to get my family back to the table. We have such fun discussing the day and bonding with each other. I miss those times. The Six Sisters are challenging families to have dinner together 4 nights per week for four weeks. Helping to build familes, one meal at a time! Visit HERE for more info on the challenge.
Take some time to browse their website and Facebook page.. You will be drooling over all of the beautiful foods. Best thing though, they aren't hard to make, nor do they require off the wall ingredients that you have to search high and low for. That is something I absolutely loved about this book. The crafts are neat, but for me the recipes were AWESOME!
Here are just a few photos from their sites to tease you...
So I need to go to the store now and stock up for my challenge! Stay tuned for my photos and thoughts on some of the recipes.

ReplyDeleteI am always thankful when I have dinner with my family. Thankfully we had Thanksgiving dinner at my Brothers house this year, because he passed away suddenly on Dec. 10th. I am so grateful that I have the memories of that time spent with him, so shortly before his unexpected death.
ReplyDeleteVicky you are so right, we just don't know our time or the ones of loved ones. Cherishing those family times are priceless. I need to do better at taking pictures when we get together like that. So sorry for your loss.

ReplyDeleteThe way it seems to repair, renew, and strengthen us. Especially when we pray together before we eat.
ReplyDeleteI love family dinners because that is how I grew up. I was one of 5 children with Mom and Dad that made 7. We never went out to eat. We are a close family because of it!
