Chats on the Farmhouse Porch #85

Everyday Ruralty
Our questions this week are ones given by folks who meet on the porch. It's fun to have some new questions.
Furry Bottoms asks: Did you grow up in a small town, or a big town? Did you like it?

I live in a small town, about 8000 people. I am on the outskirts of town on a hobby farm. I grew up in towns and never thought I would love country living. Now I wouldn't change it for anything. I don't even like big cities anymore.

Lisa wants to know: If you could pick one song to hear for the rest of your life, what would it be?
That is a tough one, because I love music.. but when you listen to a song over and over you get tired of it. I can't decide if I want to choose one from my childhood that brings good memories or a more recent one that would be more of my mantra... hmmm

Let's go with the recent Building 429 Where I Belong

Karen asks: What are your pet peeves?

When people are late! Can't stand it. I moved down 'south' where things are a little more laid back and when people say something starts at 7pm, it will be more like around 7:15 we will think about getting started. Makes me crazy! I figure if I can punctual with 6 children, everyone can plan to be on time.

Colletta says: Do you remember your dreams? Are they in color or black and white? What is the craziest dream you've ever had?

I remember some of my dreams, they are in color. The worst one that reoccurs is a stress dream. Whenever I have this dream I know there is too much stress. I dream I am in college, at a big university and I can't remember my schedule. I can't remember the order of the classes or where they are located. I am late to class and not sure what day of the week it is, and I am having trouble finding the office to have them print out my schedule. I hate that dream
Rachel asks: What is the perfect pair of shoes for you?

Right now I actually  have bruised heels from going on a walk with shoes without enough cushion. The only shoes that are enough cushion for me right now are my OOFOS flip flops. They are my very favorite shoes of all time!

Thanks for hanging out with me! I finished my tea and time to get back to work. See you next week on the farmhouse porch!

  1. neat shoe. need to go research them. interesting. i find it amazing that you are so early with 6 child. that is great!! ( :

  2. WOW! 6 Kids & on time! Go You!...I envy you for that. Have a blessed week :O)

  3. I LOVE that song! Your flip flops look so comfy. I hope your heels feel better soon. I have had a similar dream a time or two. I can see where it could mean too much stress. It's good to have indicators like that to let us know to de-stress.
