Ology brand products from Walgreens

Ology is a new line of products being offered by Walgreens, to fit the Green Niche market. The products range from bamboo tissues and paper towels to laundry detergent and cleaners, to personal hair care and lotion products. Free of harmful chemicals and reasonably priced and available.

I had a gift card to go to Walgreen to try Ology products. The closest walgreen for me was about 45 miles away, which I didn't even realize. When I lived in OH it was only about 20 so I hadn't really thought about it. I managed to get to the nearest Walgreens and had kind of expected with a new name like this that there would have been an Ology display. I had to ask where the products were, each in it's designated area, rather than all together. I was able to find conditioner, laundry detergent, tissues and paper towels at this particular store. They were either out of or didn't carry the other products above.

The Ology Facial Tissues are tree free, made from sugarcane husk and bamboo instead. The tissues were quite strong, and held up well. They were not as soft as some of the tissues with added lotions and chemicals, though I avoid those for the most part. I was pleased with the quality of the tissues. Very economically priced at just over $1 a box. For that price I definitely think this product was worthwhile.

The Ology Spring Lavender Laundry Detergent uses very little for each wash, making the price per wash quite inexpensive for a chemical free product. The handle however was hard for my larger hands to hold on to and pour. Looks pretty, but for practical purposes it was a bit awkward. The ology detergent washed well, and smelled nice when the clothes were finished. This would be a product I may choose to use again if I am stopping by Walgreens.

The third product I tried was the White pear and Cucumber Conditioner. I think if I would have been able to try the shampoo also it would have been nice to pair them up. The conditioner itself I was not overly happy with. I noticed that my hair looked 'dirty' by the end of the day, as if the conditioner didn't totally wash out. I tried it again and the same result. Unfortunately this ology product was not for me.

I was sent a Walgreen’s gift card for the purposes of obtaining Ology products to review. No other compensation was offered or received. No suggestions or requests to select specific products within the Ology line were offered. I was in no way obligated to write a positive review and all opinions are mine and mine alone.
