Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day
Slavery still exists today with over 27 million people men, women and children still in slavery in 161 countries.. including our own!
My 17 year old son recently returned from 4 days at the Passion 268Generation Conference with an awareness of the slavery around the world. We get so content in our American middle class homeschooling family that truly we haven't given it more than a passing thought until now. I am sure there are many families totally unaware of it, just because of the lifestyles we have become adapted to, and the lack of thinking outside of our sphere of influence.
So what can I do? I am just one person, surely I can't make any difference alone. But you CAN!! One person can make a difference!
*You can bring awareness! With the social media realm of influence, each person you can connect with on FB, Twitter, and blogs can help bring the situation into the forefront of more people's minds.
Then there is people you know in real life even!! Take the opportunity and ask them if they are aware that there is still slavery in the world, open up a discussion and suggest websites that they can check out like the ENDITMovement.com. People don't even realize it is happening. Making them aware is the first step!! You yourself can read books, research the facts and continue to bring additional awareness to those around you.

*The organizations that are working to bring an end to slavery can use your monetary gifts. Groups like
Made in a Free World
Free the Slaves
Not for Sale
Not everyone is called into the mission field, to help physically rescue slaves and work on social reform, but everyone can give, even if it is just a small amount.
*Choose where you spend your money. Which companies do you buy from? What are their trade ethics? Download the Free World App
Take some action and check out some great ideas on how you can make a difference to end slavery!
Take this Survey and see how many slaves work for you each day based on what you
*write to your government officials and encourage them to make slavery a top priority.
*Utilize your social media influence!!
So send out a tweet that you are in it to End It!

*One of the greatest things we can do is pray! God did not bring on slavery, the evil of the Devil has deceived the minds of so many to think that we are not created equal. We are each a child of God, whether we accept Him or not. We can pray for those in slavery, for those fighting it, and for wisdom.
