NYC Neurologists & Pediatric Neurology

Children across the nation are suffering from neurological disorders such as :
  • Epilepsy and seizure disorders
  • Movement disorders
  • Neuromuscular disorders, including muscular dystrophy
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Cerebrovascular stroke
  • Arteriovenous malformation and aneurysms
  • Brachial plexus palsy
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Metabolic diseases
  • Neurobehavioral conditions
  • Autism
  • Attention deficit disorder (ADD)
The Alan and Barbara Mirken Department of Neurology at the Beth Israel Medical Center, is a large and respected center for pediatric neurology. They do complete work ups to find as many details as they can via numerous tests to try to pinpoint the issues going on in the youngster. Detail oriented as you would want in a neurologist. The Pediatric Neurology program is multidisciplinary in all that it requires and some of the sub-specialty professions such as neurosurgery, endovascular surgery, and neuropsychology are involved with the patient in a team setting.

Professionally sound, yet compassionate with pediatrics, the team is patient centered and pro active in it's approach. When struggling with complex issues like the ones listed above you want knowledgeable doctors, but not without the compassion you need to psychologically move forward.
I am blessed to not have any neurology issues with my children, but I know of people who do. Having a great contact and resource for their needs is something I can keep in my bank of knowledge.
