The Accidental Bride- Review

The Accidental Bride
Denise Hunter

The last time Shay saw Travis McCoy, he left her at the courthouse steps, never to return for their wedding vows. Now Shay runs into Travis more than a decade later in her home town. Shay has returned there to raise her daughter on the family's farm. Travis is in town to help out his parents farm as they are out of the country. Hoping to avoid any contact with Travis, Shay is in for a surprise when during the Founders Day festivities she, playing the pioneer bride is 'wed' to Travis! Good thing that was only for show, or was it?
With a wedding license in hand from 14 years ago, Miss Lucy has worked her not so nimble fingers into quite a plot to reunite the couple. Will God and forgiveness help Shay and Travis truly find each other, or will the past and the hurt prevent them from moving forward?

This was a sweet novel by Denise Hunter. The entire story despite Shay's reaction has the reader rooting for Travis! Such a likeable guy, who made mistakes in the past, but God has brought him back around. Miss Lucy is such a funny older gal who obviously loves to dabble in matchmaking. I loved how Travis interacted with Olivia, Shay's daughter as well. The characters were well developed. It was a quick read, sad it came to an end so quickly.

I received a copy of this book from B&B Media in exchange for an honest review.
