Soda Stream

“Making carbonated water and soft drinks is simple! Turn tap water into sparkling water in under 30 seconds, with no clean-up. Enjoy the freshness and convenience of homemade soda and protect the environment at the same time. No heavy bottles to carry, store at home or throw away. Fizz to your taste and add the flavor of your choice to make your favorite drink. Simple to clean and reuse. With a variety of colors and silhouettes, you'll be sure to find a soda maker to match with any d├ęcor

We are big soda drinkers in our family and tend to lug a lot of cans and 2 litters around then end up in the landfill when we are done.
I loved the idea of making our own soda at home and cutting down on the waste we created as a larger family. I was a bit hesitant though that the flavor just couldn’t measure up to the more famous sodas that we were used to drinking. I was pleasantly surprised when my children exclaimed that the orange soda tasted better than any they had before! We tried several other flavors and each was very tasty and for the mom in me I was super excited that they contained Cane Sugar rather than the high fructose corn syrup. As a diet pop drinker, knowing the aspartame is a huge downfall to diet pop I was happy to see that Soda Stream uses Splenda instead.

My younger children can make their own soda now. We don’t have to store cans and cans of it and we can easily replace the CO2 bottle at many participating retailers.

So we have super easy to use, healthier, and more environmentally friendly!! Can’t beat that during Green Resolutions!

Thanks to Soda Stream for a product to review in exchange for my honest opinions.

  1. I have a Soda Stream, and I LOVE it!!! No HFCS. And I love the natural flavors, like the pink grapefruit. Try mixing favors before pouring into the carbonated water ;)
