A Little Yellow Star- Faith Tydings

A Little Yellow Star
Faith H. Tydings

Do you remember the little gold stars that your teacher would put on a chart for reading or good attendance?
Faith takes those little yellow stars a step further in her Children’s book A Little Yellow Star. The author tells of a child who has a yellow star painted in her room that she remembers always being there, and as she grows she realizes there are more yellow stars painted throughout the house. She asks her mother about the stars and their significance. Like the stars in the sky are always there, even when we can’t see them, God is always there even if we cannot see Him. All it takes is a small yellow star to remind us that God is forever near and never away from us.
Fantastic message for children and adults of all ages that when we may be feeling alone, God is right there with us.
“Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars.” Psalm 148.3
